Segway at CES 2025: A New Era of E-Bikes, 50mph Scooters, and Robotic Lawn Mowers
Last Updated on January 8, 2025 by Kristina
CES 2025 has arrived, and Segway is making waves with its latest product lineup, diving back into the world of e-bikes, electric scooters, and even robotic lawn mowers. After a brief flirtation with quirky self-balancing pods and paintball-shooting go-karts, Segway is returning to its roots and unveiling a series of powerful, cutting-edge vehicles that are sure to impress.
Powerful E-Bikes: The Xyber and Xafari
Segway is reintroducing two e-bikes that were first announced last year, the Xyber and Xafari, both now with more detailed specifications and pricing. Available for presale starting January 7th, and open sales beginning February 3rd, these e-bikes bring a fresh, robust approach to electric cycling.
Xyber: The Beastly, High-Performance E-Bike
The Xyber is a striking e-bike with a futuristic, motorcycle-inspired design that pushes the boundaries of what an e-bike can be. With a starting price of $2,999.99, this powerhouse features a rear-mounted 750W direct-drive motor, capable of launching riders from 0 to 20 mph in just 2.7 seconds. While the Xyber is restricted to 20mph in compliance with U.S. e-bike regulations, Segway teases that an off-road mode could allow for speeds faster than 28mph in locations where it’s legally allowed.
Despite its moto-like appearance, the Xyber is still a pedal-powered e-bike with 12 levels of pedal assist, three throttle-only modes (Eco, Sport, and Race), and an impressive 112-mile range with the dual-battery option (2,880Wh). For those opting for the single battery (1,440Wh), the range is still an impressive 56 miles. With 110mm of front suspension and 100mm in the rear, the Xyber promises a smooth ride on various terrains.
The bike is equipped with a 1,330-lumen headlight, smart lighting features, and a 2.4-inch TFT display that shows real-time data such as speed, battery level, and navigation. The Xyber offers advanced technological features like Segwayβs Intelligent Ride System, which includes automatic lights, bike locking, and adaptive pedal assist. It also introduces the AirLock system, which locks the handlebars and rear motor when you walk away from the bike, all without needing a physical lock.
Xafari: Comfort Meets Convenience
The Xafari, priced at $2,399.99, is designed for those who prefer a more traditional approach to e-bikes. Featuring a low-step frame, 26 x 3.0-inch all-terrain tires, and front and rear suspension, the Xafari is built for comfort and long rides. With a 750W motor providing 80Nm of torque and a 936Wh removable battery, it offers a respectable 88 miles of range on its lowest power setting. Itβs perfect for anyone looking to cruise through diverse landscapes without sacrificing comfort.
Both the Xyber and Xafari come with Segwayβs Intelligent Ride System, allowing for automated functions like auto-locking and adaptive pedal assist.
Next-Generation Kick Scooters: GT3 and GT3 Pro
Segway isn’t just about e-bikesβtheyβve got an impressive lineup of electric scooters for 2025 as well. The third-generation GT3 Pro and GT3 scooters are built for speed, power, and performance. With the GT3 Pro leading the charge, this beast can accelerate from 0 to 30 mph in just 3.9 seconds, thanks to its dual 3,500-watt motors (with a combined output of 7,000W) and 2,160Wh battery. It can reach a mind-blowing top speed of 49.7 mph and tackle 38-degree hills. The GT3 Pro also comes with an advanced suspension system featuring coil-sprung, hydraulically damped shocks to ensure a smooth ride.
What makes the GT3 scooters stand out is SegRide, a customization system that allows you to adjust the scooterβs geometry, handlebars, and more for a perfect fit. These are for riders who want the ultimate in high-performance scooters.
In addition to the GT3 models, Segway is also rolling out its F and E series e-scooters for commuters, as well as the Max G3, which Segway describes as the “luxury sedan” of its scooter lineup.
Robotic Lawn Mowers: The Navimow X3

Not to be outdone in the robotics space, Segway is also unveiling the Navimow X3 robot lawn mower, set for release in Spring 2025. This new model takes lawn care to the next level by offering improved AI capabilities, the ability to cover up to 2.5 acres (compared to the previous generation’s quarter-acre limit), and the ability to integrate with Google Home and Amazon Alexa. With IP6 waterproofing, the X3 can handle outdoor conditions, while its smart features allow it to avoid pets and wildlife in its path.
While Segway has not revealed pricing yet, the Navimow X3 will likely be priced higher than the i Series ($999) and H Series ($1,899) models. Still, it promises to be a versatile and intelligent addition to Segway’s growing robotic portfolio.
Conclusion
At CES 2025, Segway is showcasing the future of electric mobility. Whether you’re looking for a high-powered e-bike like the Xyber, a comfortable and versatile ride like the Xafari, or a blazing-fast scooter like the GT3 Pro, Segway is making a statement with their new offerings. And with the Navimow X3 robot mower, theyβre proving that their innovation stretches beyond just wheels and motors. Segway’s new product lineup promises to change the game for personal transportation and smart outdoor technology in the coming years.
