- Uninterrupted Power: The game-changing feature is the extended assist carryover. Even when you momentarily stop pedaling on tricky terrain, the motor keeps you moving forward. Focus on navigating technical sections without losing momentum or balance.
- This feature is adjustable (short, medium, long) to match your riding style and race needs. It also automatically cancels when you backpedal, giving you full control.
Improved Auto Shift:
Shimano’s Auto Shift gets a major upgrade, thanks to insights from champion racers. Now it handles aggressive riding with:

Getting the Update:
The free update is available for all EP801 owners. Currently, a visit to your local Shimano dealer is required. But later this fall, an update to the E-Tube Project Cyclist app will allow you to perform the update and customize your settings yourself.
