Who Bought Juiced Bikes? Lectric Revealed as the Mystery Buyer

Last Updated on October 5, 2026 by Kristina

Update – October 5, 2026: The mystery buyer behind Juiced Bikes has been identified. Lectric eBikes acquired the Juiced Bikes brand and intellectual-property rights after the original company shut down in 2024. The reported $1.225 million auction bid was not the final acquisition price – later reporting says creditors rejected that bid and a higher, undisclosed agreement was ultimately reached, with the deal closing on March 27, 2025.

Lectric says it did not acquire the old Juiced company’s physical inventory or liabilities. Juiced later relaunched in May 2026 with a new Scrambler lineup under Lectric eBikes LLC DBA Juiced Bikes.

For the current lineup, see my first look at the revived Juiced Bikes lineup. For the earlier warning signs, see my Juiced Bikes financial challenges report. You can also follow the Electric Bike News archive for related industry updates.

Who Bought Juiced Bikes?

Lectric eBikes ultimately acquired the Juiced Bikes brand and intellectual-property rights. Contemporary reporting identified Lectric co-founders Levi Conlow and Robby Deziel as the buyers behind the deal.

Juiced’s current FAQ confirms the ownership change, and the revived company’s warranty identifies the operator as Lectric eBikes LLC DBA Juiced Bikes.

Was Juiced Bikes Sold for $1.225 Million?

Not as the final completed deal. In October 2024, an auction of Juiced assets produced a reported winning bid of about $1.225 million. Early coverage treated that figure as the apparent sale price while the buyer’s identity remained unknown.

Later reporting said creditors rejected the $1.225 million bid as insufficient and negotiations continued. A higher agreement was eventually reached, but the final purchase price was not publicly disclosed. The acquisition closed on March 27, 2025.

That means the original version of this story was correct that a $1.225 million auction bid occurred, but it was wrong to treat that amount as the final completed acquisition price.

Was Juiced Bikes Bankrupt?

I would no longer describe the 2024 shutdown as a confirmed bankruptcy without a bankruptcy-court filing. Juiced’s current official FAQ says the old company assigned its remaining assets to Stapleton Group through a California assignment for the benefit of creditors.

That creditor process led to the asset sale and later negotiations. Some early news coverage used bankruptcy language, but the company’s own current description is more precise, so that is the terminology I am using here.

What Did Lectric Actually Acquire?

Juiced’s current FAQ says Lectric acquired the Juiced Bikes brand and IP rights. It also says Lectric did not acquire the former company’s physical inventory and did not assume its old liabilities.

That distinction is important for anyone who owned a Juiced bike before the shutdown. The revived Juiced brand is not simply the old business continuing with the same inventory, warranty obligations, parts supply, and product platform.

What Happened to Legacy Juiced Bikes?

Juiced says the new company does not have access to parts for many previous models because the old company’s closure resulted in lost tooling and supplier relationships. The new Juiced products also use new designs and components and are not compatible with legacy Juiced bikes.

The company also says it will not sell legacy Juiced batteries because those older packs lack UL certification. That can leave owners of older models with fewer official replacement options than they had before the original company shut down.

Documentation support is better than parts support. Juiced’s current Help Center still provides manuals and other resources for a number of older Juiced models.

What About Old Warranties and Claims?

Juiced’s current FAQ says Lectric did not assume the liabilities of the former Juiced business. That means old obligations should not be treated as liabilities of the revived company unless Juiced specifically says otherwise.

For losses or claims tied to the former business, Juiced directs people to the Stapleton Group creditor-assignment process. Owners should use the current Juiced FAQ and Help Center for the latest instructions rather than relying on pre-closure warranty language.

When Did Juiced Bikes Relaunch?

Juiced announced its return on May 5, 2026. The revived brand launched a new Scrambler lineup with hardtail and full-suspension versions and began selling new bikes again under Lectric’s ownership.

The relaunch means Juiced did survive as a brand, but not as a simple continuation of the pre-2024 company. The current bikes, support policies, parts ecosystem, and warranty structure belong to the new operation.

The Juiced Bikes Timeline

  • 2024: The original Juiced business shut down and its remaining assets entered a California assignment-for-the-benefit-of-creditors process.
  • October 2024: An auction produced a reported $1.225 million winning bid, and the buyer was initially undisclosed.
  • After the auction: Later reporting said creditors rejected the $1.225 million bid and negotiations continued at a higher, undisclosed amount.
  • March 27, 2025: The Lectric-related acquisition closed.
  • May 5, 2026: Juiced announced its return with a new Scrambler lineup.

My Take

The most important correction to the original story is that the auction did not end with a mystery buyer paying exactly $1.225 million and simply taking over the old Juiced company. The deal evolved after the auction, Lectric ultimately acquired the brand and IP, and the revived Juiced business has a different legal and product structure.

For legacy owners, the relaunch is a mixed outcome. It kept the Juiced name alive and restored current products and documentation, but it did not restore all of the old company’s parts, inventory, or liabilities. That distinction matters much more than the original mystery-buyer speculation.

📰 How This Story Was Verified

This report is based on available official documents, agency statements, meeting records, court filings, or other primary sources, with reliable reporting used for additional context. I clearly distinguish proposals from rules that have been finally approved or taken effect.

For this update, I used Juiced Bikes’ current FAQ and Help Center for the company’s present ownership, inventory, liabilities, legacy-parts, and support statements, plus contemporary independent reporting for the auction negotiations and March 27, 2025 closing date.
