Heybike’s New Mid-Drive Motor Delivers Big Torque in Galaxy Series

Last Updated on August 28, 2025 by Kristina

Heybike is turning heads again — this time with its all-new Galaxy series of ebikes. Launched at Eurobike 2025, this lineup is aimed straight at European riders. It includes five different models, all built around Heybike’s own mid-drive motor system.

At the core of three models is the Venus Plus motor, packing 250 watts of continuous pedal-assist power. Don’t let the number fool you — it delivers up to 100 Nm of torque, perfect for climbing hills or hauling cargo. That’s some serious low-end punch.

The Trekker: Built for All-Terrain Exploring

The most versatile of the bunch starts at €2,299 (~US$2,695). It’s made for all kinds of terrain — gravel paths, city streets, even light trails. A 500-Wh battery tucked into the downtube provides up to 135 km (83.8 miles) on a single charge.

You get 27.5-inch wheels with 2.4-inch Schwalbe tires, Shimano Alivio 9-speed shifting, and a torque sensor for smooth, instant pedal assist. Need to carry gear? No problem — the orange rear rack and 125-kg payload limit have you covered. A Suntour suspension fork, hydraulic disc brakes, and front/rear lights complete the package.

The M: For the Trail-Lovers

Prefer dirt to pavement? The Galaxy M is your trail-ready option. Same motor and battery as the Trekker, but a beefier Suntour fork with 120 mm travel makes it more capable on rough ground.

It rides on knobby Schwalbe tires with bronze sidewalls, adds a Shimano CUES transmission for silky gear changes, and drops 2 kg in weight — tipping the scales at 24 kg (52.9 lb). Price? Still €2,299.

The X: For Hauling Heavy

Then there’s the Galaxy X, the cargo hauler of the family. It shares the powerful 100 Nm motor, but ups the load capacity to 150 kg (330.6 lb). The rear rack is MIK-compatible and comes with wheel shields.

Wheels are 24-inch up front, 20-inch at the rear, both wrapped in cargo-specific tires. There’s a suspension fork (not Suntour), plus lights, turn signals, and a tail light. All this utility costs a bit more — €2,399 (~US$2,815).

City Cruisers: C and K Models

Not everyone needs mountain-climbing torque. That’s where the Galaxy C and K come in. They use a slightly tamer version of the motor — still mid-drive, but producing 80 Nm of torque.

The Galaxy C is a relaxed low-step city bike. It keeps the 500-Wh battery and long range (135 km), but opts for a 7-speed Nexus hub, suspension seat post, and a rigid fork. Priced the same as the Trekker.

The Galaxy K is the lightweight commuter. Just 23 kg (50 lb). It uses a smaller 330-Wh battery for up to 90 km (56 miles) of range. It rolls on 20-inch wheels, has 9-speed CUES shifting, and includes a rear rack and suspension-buffered rigid fork. It’s the most affordable at €2,099 (US$2,450).

One Motor, Many Missions

Across all five models, Heybike’s mid-drive motor is the common thread. Different flavors, different use cases — same strong performance. Whether you’re hauling gear, tearing up trails, or cruising to work, there’s a Galaxy built for you.

Heybike sums it up nicely:
“This unified series is crafted to meet a diverse array of riding needs and preferences.”

No word yet on when (or if) these models will land in the US — but if they do, they’ll definitely shake things up.
