Segway Launches Bold New Version of Xafari E-Bike in Crimson Red
Segway has just released a fresh, eye-catching version of its Xafari electric bike, now in Crimson Red. Known for its scooters and self-balancing technology, Segway is making a statement with this new look. But they haven’t compromised on performance or comfort—everything that made the original Xafari stand out is still there.
The Xafari, first introduced at CES 2025 alongside the Segway Xyber, is a versatile e-bike. It can be used in Class 1, 2, or 3 modes, making it perfect for both city commuting and light off-road adventures. With a 750W rear hub motor and a 936 Wh battery, this e-bike can go up to 88 miles (142 km) on a single charge. The full suspension and 26×3.0” semi-fat tires make sure you’re comfortable, whether you’re on smooth pavement or rough dirt trails.
What sets the Xafari apart is its tech. It has a 2.4” TFT color display that shows ride metrics and navigation, along with a smart adaptive pedal assist system. This system adjusts the motor’s power automatically, depending on the terrain and how much effort you put into pedaling.
The Xafari also comes with impressive connectivity features that you won’t often find on e-bikes in this price range. It includes Apple Find My and Segway GPS tracking, an app-based lockout system with a motion alarm, and even cloud-based maintenance alerts. A handlebar scroll wheel lets you easily adjust the assist level and control the display. Plus, the intelligent lighting system automatically adjusts between high and low beams based on your surroundings.
The bold Crimson Red color was a direct result of dealer feedback. Retail partners asked for a more striking look, and Segway delivered. “This colorway turns heads, but more importantly, it reflects the bold, confident rider we built this product for,” said Nick Howe, head of Segway’s e-bike division.
The Segway Xafari in Crimson Red is now available for purchase. It’s priced at $2,399.99, but you can grab it for $1,999.99 during the launch promotion, available through Segway’s website and authorized dealers.
