Arlington, Virginia Offers E-Bike Vouchers Up to $1,650 โ How to Apply

Starting tomorrow, Arlington, VA residents will have a new reason to get excited about electric bikes. The county is rolling out an e-bike voucher program to help more people switch to this cleaner, greener way of getting around.
How It Works
The program is offering about 250 vouchers that can be used at select local bike shops. There are two types of vouchers:
- Standard Voucher: Up to $600 off an e-bike. Available to Arlington residents 18 or older with a valid ID.
- Enhanced Voucher: Up to $1,650 off an e-bike, plus a voucher for an e-bike lock. This is for residents 18 or older who are enrolled in a Department of Human Services program or live in eligible affordable housing.
When & How to Apply
Applications open tomorrow and close Thursday, Aug. 28.
Winners will be chosen at random and notified by email.

- In-person at Central Library on Aug. 27

Why It Matters
This program is part of Arlingtonโs Community Energy Plan, which encourages cleaner transportation and fewer single-occupancy car trips. Itโs funded by an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant from the U.S. Department of Energy.
